Oh, Do You See The Trees?

Hello. Joey has inspired me to write a few songs, and it has been very fun and very challenging. I've always been really good at coming up with chords or riffs and then singing some wordless melody over the top of them. Writing lyrics has always been the hardest for me. Mostly because I don't care what I say; I just want to hear something good. Joey said he would listen to my music without words, but I wanted my songs to mean more. One day, when he was gone in D.C., I was thinking about him. He recently started noticing the trees and how beautiful they are. And how no matter what, the trees are always singing. Always worshipping. Never taking this world for granted. So a wrote about a boy who sees the trees and doesn't want to take this beautiful creation for granted. Do you see the trees?

Hello, Again

Hello, again. I haven't done a lookbook shoot in a while, so this was fun. Joey and I are watching my parent's house and their doggie this week. We like to call their house "paradise house" because it is so cozy, light and clean. There are always tasty treats and leftovers, and they have the world's greatest dog. Anyways enjoy the photos!

Home

It is so good to be home. After what seemed to be forever, our lives are a little less full right now. I enjoyed a quiet afternoon at home with some coffee while I edited a couple photos. I think of all the things to take pictures of, I most enjoy capturing small, simple details and making them interesting. Enjoy the pictures!

A Gathering

This was a while ago, but I was going through old pictures and found this fun little cookout with my home group. We had brats and salsa, potato salad and guacamole. Gabriel taught the neighbor kids magic tricks and the rest of us were entertained. We lit a fire and roasted and ...toasted..(oops) our marshmallows and enjoyed each other's company.
